2020 has definitely caused most of us to reshape and rethink our definition of the perfect wedding. These days, more and more couples are opting to have a micro wedding. There are some huge advantages to this new trend in weddings.

A micro wedding is an intimate celebration. Typically no more than 50 people. They allow the couple to enjoy the most meaningful wedding moments on a smaller scale.

Because of their flexibility, micro weddings can be created to fit any budget, destination or preference. Elaborate or simple, it’s a chance for couples to share their love with only the most important people.

When Corona virus hit, many couples were forced to cancel or postpone their wedding. While that seemed necessary a few months ago, the wedding industry is recovering by scaling down on the size of events held. The days of large 150-plus events are gone, at least for a good while. Instead, planners are offering “Elopement Packages” and “Micro Weddings”. What’s the difference? Elopements are generally just the two of you and kept more secretive.

Having a micro wedding allows you to solidify your union and start your married life together. But, it does not exclude other larger celebrations later. You are entitled to throw a larger celebration event further down the line when it feels right. This year has devastated so many big events and celebration moments.
